Review: Beauty Blender

I received this in my June Birchbox. I was so excited when I got this because I saw a sneak peak of what was in the Birchboxes and I was hoping I got this. I was so excited to use it. It comes with a cleanser too which is useful because keeping your make up tools is very important.

Bounce Beautyblender against your face when applying make up. Bouncing, called stippling in the make up world, blends make up without creating changes in the texture or tone of your skin. Use Beautyblender’s pointed side for hard-to-reach spots like around the nose and mouth, and under the eyes. Use the round base for foundation and blush on the larger areas of your face such as your forehead, cheeks and chin.

It didn’t take me long from opening my Birchbox to actually using this beauty blender and I can say I wasn’t disappointed. I just don’t know how I’ve been living without this. I haven’t picked up my brushes since using this! It is a little pricey for a sponge but it is totally worth it. The pointy end is amazing for getting in those hard to reach places like around your nose and under your eyes. The larger side of the sponge is great for your checks and forehead and chin. When I’ve brought cheap sponges before they have fallen apart and don’t blend as well. You can feel the quality in this. My foundation has never looked so flawless. It does use a bit more foundation than I usually would use with my brushes or fingers on lazy days, but it’s totally worth it.

Althoguh it’s just a sponge and it’s Β£16 I still think it’s totally worth it. You just need to bite the bullet and get one! I gave up on my No7 Beautifully Matte foundation because I couldn’t get the right coverage with it, I always looked so cakey. But with this thing I’ve picked it back up! I have a feeling it will last a long time and I should hope so for the price. But when I do need a new one I will certainly be getting a new one!

Did you get this in your June Birchbox? What did you think? Let me know!

  1. Great post. I have the Real Techniques Beauty Sponge; which I love, but I find you need to use more product (like you said with this BeautyBlender – but the coverage and overall effect given is flawless).
I would love to see a picture of you with foundation applied with a brush and foundation applied with the BeautyBlender; as a comparison.
Have a lovely day! If you like come check out my beauty blog: πŸ™‚
