Avon Nail Experts Liquid Freeze Review

Who’s got the time to wait around for nails to dry? Not me! I brought this in a Avon Haul, I’ve brought it a few times and only just realised that I haven’t actually reviewed it yet. I’ve used many drying sprays because and I’ve always been a fan of this one.

image

Spray nails dry in a flash. A convenient, fast-drying top coat in a easy to use spray.

Application
Allow nail enamel to set. Spray on light coat to surface dry nail enamel in only 30 seconds. Avoid contact with eyes.

Review
The product is a simple pump spray action. As I’ve said, I’ve tried many drying sprays. Some expensive. Some not so expensive. But this one I’ve repurchased. I’ve found it does just as good a job as the more expensive versions. I wouldn’t dare painting my nails without this little beauty. The one added bonus about this product is that it always conditions my cuticles. My cuticles can get quite dry, especially if I’ve removed some nail varnish before applying another shade. It does leave an oily residue on your hands, but it’s a small price to pay to be able to use my hands! The only let down for this is that is does smell rather chemically. But that’s something  I can easily overlook, since nail products don’t usually tend to smell the best!

Conclusion
I will always repurchase this as long as Avon are selling it! It comes in a 50ml bottle for £6. It doesn’t seem alot when you look at it, but it lasts me a good few months!

Have you tried this Freeze spray? Have you used any others? Do you recommend any for me to try? Let me know!

Skin Pep Brightening Enzyme & Acid Peel Review

I received this in my September Glossybox. I was scared to use it at first. I mean.. It has the word acid in the name! But, I got the courage to try it out.

image

Our professional salon grade protein dissolving natural enzyme derived gel uses extracts of Pineapple and Papaya.
We combine them with proven natural —Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) Glycolic acid and Lactic acid, to create a highly effective, yet gentle peeling gel. Use up to twice per week to leave exfoliated, soft, bright and beautiful skin.

Application
Apply a small amount of gel to damp face, neck or body and gently massage in for 1-2 minutes. Leave on for another 1-2 minutes and then wash off. Use up to twice weekly

Review
This peel is translucent and quite thick, as a peel usually is. It’s also really sticky, again as a peel usually is, which made it such a mess to applying. It seems a strange method to apply it to a damp face in my opinion. When I first applied the peel, it stung a little, it freaked me out for a second, but it subsided after like 20 seconds. After covering my whole face, I massaged it into my face and waited 5 minutes. This peel doesn’t dry to your face, it just sits on top of your face like jelly. After I worked it in and left it for 5 minutes i washed the product off with a warm washcloth. My skin felt really clean. It didn’t feel any softer then it usually would however.

Conclusion
This peel comes in various sizes.
3.5ml sachet : £3.99
15ml tube : £14.99
30ml tube : £29.99
180ml tube : £89.99
It’s quite expensive.. I mean.. If i could buy these 3.5ml sachets in my local drugstore as a treat when my face needed a good clean, I’d probably pick up one. I don’t think i would ever commit to a full sized product though. I’ve tried similar products that are much cheaper that bring results and aren’t gonna chemically strip your face. I can’t say I really like the idea of this to be honest. The one thing I do like about this product is that’s it’s Paraben Free. I’m trying to use products that don’t control paraben, so I’ll keep this in mind when choosing my skin care products.

Have you tried this product? What did you think? What peels have you tried? Let me know!

Revlon Haul

image

Hello beauties! So, this haul came about when I was trying to match a nail varnish to my bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding. I looked like a right idiot waking around superdrug, placing lots of nail varnishes next to my phone screen and going ‘hmmm’. But I found the perfect match! Superdrug were doing their never ending (feels like it anyway!) 3 for 2 on anything Revlon, which spurred me to buying the other two items. Here’s what I brought…

Revlon Care Base & Top Coat

image

Multi-tasking formula fortifies nails from bottom to top for longer wear
-smoothes nails and prevents yellowing
-seals and protects with high-shine finish
-forms a shiny, flexible shield on nails

I needed a top and bottom coat product anyway since running out of my Nailgirls 3-1 Base & Top Coat Strengthener. I loved that stuff because it strengthened my nails too, which is good for me because my nails are quite brittle! But I was in a rush and I needed something now.

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel

image

Captivating Colour. Irresistible Scent. Brilliant color that stays true

They haven’t got alot to say about it huh? Which I find strange because it’s such an unusual concept. I know other brands have done it before.. But it kind of interests me. I purely brought this because it was the closest match I was going to get to my dress, but I can’t wait to see what it smells like! The shade I brought is called Surf Spray. Full review is available here.

Revlon Photoready Face Perfecting Primer

image

Primes and smoothes the skin to create a perfect canvas. Reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines. Evens out skin’s texture. Can be worn alone or under foundation

I was in the market for another primer since running out of my Maybeline Baby Skin Primer (that names still grosses me out!) I’m used to my primers being translucent… But this is extremely white! It does, however go translucent when you work it in (I tested it in the shop before buying it!) I did a full review of this here.

So that’s what I brought in my revlon haul! Reviews will be out as soon as I’ve had some time to use them.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think? Let me know!

Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed Super Self-Heating Deep Pore Detox Mask Review

I brought this in my Boots Haul. I love Soap & Glory products. I’m hardly ever disappointed with them, and they usually have some sort of offer on then in Boots! Which always hurts my bank account..

image

No Clogs Allowed™ is perfect for weekly use on areas prone to blackhead build-up, or more often as a deep-oil-emulsifying, detoxifying face mask and all-round scrubby WONDER!

Application
Once a week. Shake bottle before use. Massage a grape-sized dab of No Clogs Allowed™ onto your face, then wet your hands and scrub until it turns blue and you feel heating. After 5 minutes, rub it all off with a warm, wet washcloth.

Review
The consistency of this mask is strange. It’s like a mud mask, but thinner. It also has quite large exfoliating breads which I also found quite strange. The first thing I will say about this product if anyone does want to try it, make sure you shake the bottle! If you don’t, the mask will be separated and come out watery and gooey, which you don’t want!
When first applying the product to my face, it instantly started to heat up. It was quite warm, but not overly warm that it was uncomfortable. Once my face was covered, I soaked my hands and worked the product into my face. It instantly started to heat up again. The beads desolved into my face and the once white mask turned blue.
After leaving the product on my face for 10 minutes (I know it says 5 but I always loose track of time, I was watching Arrow at the time!) I washed the mask off with a warm washcloth. I  dried my face and it felt very clean. My usual oily T-Zone was was stripped of oil. Unfortunately, the parts of my face that aren’t oily were quite dry. The next time I used this, I only applied it to my T-Zone and it worked perfectly.

Conclusion
You can get this from Boots for £11.50 but they usually have some offers on their Soap & Glory products. It’s not the biggest tube at 100ml, but since I’m going to be only using it on my T-Zone, I feel it’s not such a bad price and will last a while. If you have dry skin, I highly recommend you don’t use this. If you have oily or combination skin, this will be good for you, but only if you use it where you have problems with oil.

Have you ever tried this product? What did you think? What over Soap & Glory products do you love? Let me know!

Rimmel London Haul

image

Hello beauties! I’m so exhausted today! It was my first day back at work today after having a week off, and after doing pretty much nothing… I’m aching so much! So I recently went to superdrug to purchase a few things… Then I saw that they were giving away a free mascara if you spent £10 or more on Rimmel London products…. Who am I to say no to a free mascara! After all, I am on the search for a mascara that actually doesn’t smudge under my eyes!

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara

image

image

Our first ultra lengthening mascara that defies the laws of lash length!
– Length that defies limits
– Formula with Micro-Fibres
-Instant wow: Extends lashes by up to 99%
– Lash-catching brush grabs every lash for perfect separation. No clumps!

For a free mascara, how can I really moan? It all depends if it doesn’t smudge! Well.. The description doesn’t tell me that it doesn’t smudge.. Which is not promising, and it’s not waterproof either.. I think I was rather hastey because it was free. Although I do like the brush. It’s the sort that’s gonna really separate your lashes. The head is quite bendy too so you can get into the corners with them, as well as being slender. The formula look quite thick too. It’s not the blackest I’ve seen. I look forward to trying it out!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Make Up Concealer

image

Rimmel’s first full coverage concealer.
Instant anti-fatigue effect with peptides and vitamin moisturising complex. Visibly reawakens and illuminates under the eyes.Completely conceals spots and other blemishes.

I’ve read alot of rave reviews about this concealer, so i had to check out the hype. One thing I did notice while trying to choose my shade was… They don’t have many shades do they? Only 4 i counted.. I’m not even sure that the shade i picked out for myself.. Which was the lightest I could find.. Is even gonna suit my skin tone… I’ll have to wait and see to try it!

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer

image

image

It’s the End of Colour as you know it! The intense rich colour of a lipstick, enhanced by a satin smooth shine.
It’s neither a lipstick nor a gloss… It’s BIGGER than both! LONG LIVE THE COLOUR!

I love the name of this lip lacquer! I’m obsessed with reds, I know… I really need to step away from the reds and actually try other shades! The brilliant thing about this lip lacquer is the applicator. It has a slight groove where the product can sit, so when you apply it you have maximum product without it going everywhere! I couldn’t find the shade I picked out on the superdrug website, but it’s called 307 Meteoric Matte. Can’t even find any mattes on their either!

So that’s my Rimmel London haul for you! I really need to stop buying product, it’s making a dent in my bank balance! Reviews for each of these products will be available as soon as I’ve had chance to use them all for a while.

Have you tried any of these product? What did you think? Let me know!
