Avon MagiX Multi Benefit Illuminator

Hello beauties! I hope you’re all well. So I’ve been using this illuminator for a while now, and I actually wrote a review on it… But it got deleted! Never mind, you’re getting it now! I brought two of these in a recent Avon Haul.. Why two? Because it’s amazing.. Frankly!

image

Liquid highlighter, formulated with special light reflecting particles to give skin a radiant and illuminated appearance. With HD Finish Complex to blur the appearance of pores, lines and imperfections.

Application
Apply to brow bone, bridge of nose and chin for a glowing look. Highlight cheekbones by applying to the highest point and blending outwards. Define lips by applying to Cupid’s bow. Gently dab on under eye area to camouflage dark circles.

Review
I’ve mostly been using this for the dark circles under my eyes. Every now and again I’ll use it as a highlighter… But I think this product really shines for me when I haven’t had much sleep! Which is hardly ever since I hate going to bed early..
The thing that attracted me to this is that it doubles up as a concealer, which made me quite curious. I’ve always been under the impression that you keep your highlighters away from your imperfections… But this one is different. It totally works both ways! This isn’t glittery like other highlighters too, it leaves you with a subtle shimmery glow.
The applicator is great. It allows you to be very precise, which is especially good when highlighting. The formula is very creamy and light, but buildable.  It doesn’t cake, which is especially important when using it under your eyes.. No one wants to look like they have bags! It doesn’t dry out your skin, which is great for me since I have dry skin prone around my eyes. If you use liquid or mineral/powder foundation the Illuminator works well under both.  Not only does the formula have coverage, but it has a little iridescence, which helps facilitate in the coverage and brightening under the eyes.

Conclusion
This has become a staple in my makeup routine. I can’t do my make up without it! My eyes look so awake when I cover up my dark circles, and it highlights my cheek bones to sculpt my face. I love a good multipurpose product, and this is one of them! It is currently available from Avon for £8.50 but they can usually be found in some deals they have in the avon brochure. I couldn’t be within this gem! I would go as far as saying it’s a dupe for Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat. I used to buy that quite a lot and loved it. The only problem is the price. It’s not the sort of thing that I could keep repurchasing…Although I’d love to! This is a purse friendly dupe!

Have you used this? What do you think? Any highlighters/concealers you have been loving lately? Let me know!

Avon Haul

Hello beauties! Sorry I’ve been away for a while. As some of you may know, my email was hacked into and they tried to take over my social media. Fortunately, I get a text when someone tries to access my accounts from other computers/phones and I have to enter the code they text me for them to log in, but the same cannot be said for WordPress! I don’t know if it was malicious or just someone bored, but I finally got back into my emails after alot of work and now I have my blog back! Unfortunately, my posts that were set to publish and my drafts have disappeared.. I have alot of work to do to get some posts up so please bare with me! I hope you can forgive my absence..

image

So I haven’t had an Avon order for a while! I felt like I was just ordering things for the sake of it (we all do it!) so I decided to tell my rep that I was taking a break! So after a couple of months off, another brochure popped through my letter box and this is what I got!

Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask

image

Effective oil absorbing mask. Acts like a magnet to pull out pore clogging dirt and help leave skin feel perfectly clean and clear. With witch hazel and mineral clays. The mask transforms from black to light grey when ready to rinse.

This really interested me reading the description, and it’s black too! You can never have too many masks I say! I don’t have a massive problem with blackheads, but sometimes I will have an outbreak on my nose. This will come in useful when that happens again! This is a 75ml tube. Full price is £5 but it was on offer in my brochure for £3, bargain!

Liquid highlighter, formulated with special light reflecting particles to give skin a radiant and illuminated appearance. With HD Finish Complex to blur the appearance of pores, lines and imperfections.

I was meant to do a post on this that was actually in my drafts I was working on (thanks hacker!) but I’ve had this illuminator before and I LOVED it! Sorry about the crappy pictures, lighting was terrible! I got this in a 2 for £10 offer which I couldn’t refuse! Full review available here.

Advanced Techniques Morrocan Argan Oil

image

Nourishing serum suitable for all hair types and for use on wet or dry hair. Instant shine, smooth finish. Weightless movement and leaves no residue*. With Argan Oil and vitamin E.

You guys know I’m no stranger to this oil! I can never be apart from it! I did a full review on this product here you can check out. This oil is so thick and rich that it keeps my hair feeling soft and healthy for longer! This is a 30ml jar retailed at £5.50 but I stole it for £2.99!

So that’s all my Avon products! I’m currently looking through the new brochure now, so there will most likely be another post soon with another haul!

Have you tried any of these products before? What did you think? What have you ordered from Avon lately? Let me know!

Avon Planet Spa Heavenly Hydration Hair Mask Review

Hello beauties! I hope you’re all well. So I got this in one of my many Avon Hauls. I usually get the Blissfully Nourishing hair mask, but unfortunately they were out of stock. I can understand why, it’s amazing. I did a review on it here if you want to check it out. So lets get into the product!

image

Leaves dry, damaged hair feeling soft, silky and smooth

Review
This is a 200ml tub which lasts me around 3-4 washes. My hair is just past my shoulders, so if you have short hair, obviously it will last longer. Sometimes I have problems with hair mask. Having such thick hair, the one thing I look for in any hair products is lightweight. This certainly is. It’s alot like the Blissfully Nourishing mask, except this one doesn’t smell as amazing. It had a Olive oil scent to it. It smells nice, but I’m a big fan of the other one. Bleaching my hair leaves it damaged and dry. But this hair mask makes my hair just as soft. It makes my hair so shiny and alot less frizzy.

Conclusion
Would I buy this again? I wouldn’t be upset if they ran out of the Blissfully Nourishing hair mask and they sent me this one instead, but that one just smells so much nicer! I think if the Heavenly Hydration one smelt better, I’d probably change sides. I love my hair to smell nice, who doesn’t? and people always notice when I’ve used it. The prices of Avons hair masks are amazing and I’ve never been dissaponted with one. This one retails at £5.50 but it’s usually on offer at around £4. Can’t argue with that!

Have you tried any Avon hair masks? What did you think? Any hair masks you recommend? Let me know!

Avon Nail Experts Liquid Freeze Review

Who’s got the time to wait around for nails to dry? Not me! I brought this in a Avon Haul, I’ve brought it a few times and only just realised that I haven’t actually reviewed it yet. I’ve used many drying sprays because and I’ve always been a fan of this one.

image

Spray nails dry in a flash. A convenient, fast-drying top coat in a easy to use spray.

Application
Allow nail enamel to set. Spray on light coat to surface dry nail enamel in only 30 seconds. Avoid contact with eyes.

Review
The product is a simple pump spray action. As I’ve said, I’ve tried many drying sprays. Some expensive. Some not so expensive. But this one I’ve repurchased. I’ve found it does just as good a job as the more expensive versions. I wouldn’t dare painting my nails without this little beauty. The one added bonus about this product is that it always conditions my cuticles. My cuticles can get quite dry, especially if I’ve removed some nail varnish before applying another shade. It does leave an oily residue on your hands, but it’s a small price to pay to be able to use my hands! The only let down for this is that is does smell rather chemically. But that’s something  I can easily overlook, since nail products don’t usually tend to smell the best!

Conclusion
I will always repurchase this as long as Avon are selling it! It comes in a 50ml bottle for £6. It doesn’t seem alot when you look at it, but it lasts me a good few months!

Have you tried this Freeze spray? Have you used any others? Do you recommend any for me to try? Let me know!

Skin So Soft Dry Oil Spray

image

What attracted me to this was the packaging. I am a bit of a packaging junkie… I’ll admit. I like to use this before I go out on a night when I haven’t got time for cream to dry.

Nail Expert Liquid Freeze Quick Dry Spray

image

I’ve brought this quite a few times now and it’s really handy when your in a bit of a hurry if the shade you picked isn’t the fastest drying. Full review is available here.

Mega Effects Liquid Eyeliner

image

This was a new product in this campaign. I always love to try out a new product if it interests me and this one really does. Avon claims..

This black liquid liner creates an intense black line for a high impact look. Ergonomic grip and slanted tip for easy application. Goes on smoothly without pulling. Water resistant, all day wear.

image

The shape of the head really interests me and I’m excited to give it a go.

Ultra Colour Matte Lipstick

image

The shade i picked is Matte Blossom. I have another shade of this is nude. I did a full review of it here. It’s a really great lipstick and people are really loving it in the blogging world!

image

It’s a lovely suttle pink shade, I can’t wait to try it out!

MagiX Multi Benefit Illuminator

image

I’m nearly out of my current cover up stick so this one came just in time! This liquid highlighter is formulated with special light reflecting particles to give skin a radiant and illuminated appearance. With HD Finish Complex to blur the appearance of pores, lines and imperfections.

So that’s everything! My order cane to around £24 which is amazing for what you actually get. I love Avon because you get quality products at such a low price. I’ll be posting reviews of these items when I’ve had some good use out of them.

What did you order this campaign form avon? Anything I picked? Let me know!

Avon Planet Spa Blissfully Nourishing Hair Mask Review

I brought this in my Avon Mini Haul. I’ve been using this hair mask for a while now. I love when it’s on offer in the Avon brochure.

image

Review
This hair mask is to be used after shampooing. It makes my hair smell amazing for days after use. A 200ml tub lasts me about 5 washes, but I have really thick hair so people with shorter thinner hair it will last longer. It leaves my hair so smooth. I rely alot on products to keep my hair healthy because of abuse from straightening and bleaching. This one really does the trick. It’s been on special offer for ages now, and I’m worried that they are gonna discontinue it because it’s been in a clearance magazine.. I really hope they don’t.

Conclusion
As long as Avon sell this, I’ll be buying it. It’s a good cheap every wash treatment. I’ll use a more intensive treatment every other week but this really keeps my hair in tip top shape! At £3.85 (current price) it’d a bargain!

Have you ever used this hair mask? What did you think? Any hair masks your loving  lately? Let me know!

Avon Ultra Colour Matte Lipstick Review

I brought this in my Avon Haul. I’m trying to stay away from my usual reds lately. I looked at my lipstick collection and realised I haven’t got many nude colours, I don’t know why because it’s such an easy colour to wear during the day.

image

Review
I’ve used it quite a lot! I’ve never actually tried a Matte lipstick before, so it was pretty new to me. I wanted something that I could wear at work that wouldn’t be too showey, and would be easy to manage throughout the day. Turns out it’s totally what I wanted. It stays on for a good few hours, which is what I need at work, because I don’t always have time to keep checking the mirror to see if it still looks presentable. It’s a lovely colour too. One of the girls at work complimented me on it. I was worried that maybe if it’s Matte it would be dry on my lips.. I was wrong. Although it’s not exactly nourishing, it doesn’t dry out my lips.

Conclusion
Would I buy other shades in this range? Definitely. Although I may still try and stay away from the seduction of the reds (I probably won’t…) I might try some of there pink shades!

Have you tried this Lipstick range? What did you think? What colour should I try next?
