December Empties

Hello beauties! I can’t believe it’s December already, I remember new years last year like it was a couple of months ago. So I only tend to do an empties every other month because I’m so awful at actually using stuff up! I never like to post our a few things so I like to save up for a nice bit post!

I’ve got a good mixture of products this month, ranging from make up, Bath products to Skincare products. I’ve got quite a lot this month so lets get into what I’ve used up shall we?

I don’t know why I never use alot of make up. Maybe because I get bored of using one thing and I move onto the next.. But something I will always use up is foundation. The foundation I’m talking about is the Max Factor All Day Flawless 3-1 Foundation. I’ve done a full review of this that I’ve linked too. I’ve brought about three bottles and I’ve really loved it. It’s got a medium coverage, but it’s easily built up to a full coverage, it has concealer and primer fused in, and it lasts pretty well! But it’s time to move on! I’ve moved onto the Mac Studio Fix Fluid which I will be reviewing soon.

The next thing I used up is Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. I’ve done a full review of this also. This is an easy on the purse primer. I did notice after a while of using it, it kinda dried my skin out after a while so I don’t think I’ll be buying this one again. I’m currently using Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer which I’m really enjoying and I’m finding that because it not a silicon primer, it’s hydrating my skin more.

Bath Products

I love my bath products. Anything that makes me feel more relaxed is right up my alley. I love bath oils, so I got through this little beauty Kenipp Pure Relaxation Bath Oil pretty quickly. It smells gorgeous but unfortunately not very moisturising to skin. I’m currently using another which is extremely moisturising so it makes up! I actually for this in a set from Reify who is from Germany in our Beauty Swap, and I’ve actually seen that they have this brand in this month’s You Beauty Discovery Box! I’d advise anyone to get it!

The next item in my empties list is Avon Sense Passion Exotic Show Gel. The thing that annoyed me about this is that it’s a bugger to actually open! But on the upside it smells amazing so I won’t hold it against Avon! It smells so floral, I can smell it in the bathroom for hours after I’ve been in!

The next thing I’ve used up is Simple Kind To Skin Soothing Facial Toner. I really try to take care if my skin, and toners are something i use everyday after washing my face. This is my second bottle of this now and it’s so cheap! You can get a 200ml bottle for a couple of quid. Toners restore the PH balance in your skin after you have washed it, so it’s always a good thing to use! I love simple as a brand. Definitely getting another.

You’ve seen me post about this and you know my views on it, I’m talking about the Benefit It’s Potent! Eye Cream. If you haven’t, I’ve linked it for you to check out. I received this in a Birchbox a while ago. I’m really disappointed with this because of the actual ingredients in it. Some people have commented saying they have had break out from this, and I’m not surprised with all the alcohol in this. I usually love benefit skincare products, and to be fair it is an alright moisturiser, but it just let’s it down with all the claims it makes when it’s just impossible with the lack of effective ingredients. I definitely won’t be buying this full size.

This is always a section in my empties that’s always going to be jam packed! Mostly because of the amount of products i use on my hair to maintain it, but also because I have so much hair! The first product I’m gonna be talking about is Syoss Oil-In-Cream Remedy Mask. I recently did a full review of this that I’ve linked if you want to check it out. As you can see, I squeezed everything I could possible get out of this tube! I’ve really loved this. This is a Keratin products that repairs the structure or your hair. The really crap thing about my hair is that because I bleach is, it tends to snap off alot. From this, I feel that it never actually gets any longer! But when I went to visit my hair dresser, she actually said how long my hair had gotten! You never notice yourself, but after she said it, I agreed! And other people have noticed too. I got this again from Reify in our beauty swap. I’m on the prowl for another tube! Really loved this. If you can get your hands on this, send me a tube!

You all know I love a good hair mask. I really need them with my hair to hydrate it from what the bleach takes out, so I’ve been using Avon Heavenly Hydration Hair Mask. I’ve done a full review of this linked if you want to check it out. I’ve used another Avon hair mask which is the Blissfully Nourishing Hair Mask. While looking through the latest Avon brochure, I couldn’t find it! Which is gutting because it smells amazing, which is the only thing missing from the Heavenly Hydration Hair mask. It leaves my hair feeling so soft so at least it’s not a total loss! I’ll be buying another tub of this!

I’ve been trying to get thorough some of my shampoos that i haven’t used up. I tend to start using a shampoo, and then I buy another type and use that instead and so on.. It’s a vicious circle. The first one I’ve been using up is The Body Shop Banana Shampoo. I don’t think I’ve ever done a review on this because I’ve had it sat in my bathroom so long unfinished. Banana is one of those smells like marmite. You either love it or you hate it, and I love it. It’s not the best shampoo ever, and that’s probably why I swapped it for another shampoo, but it does smell yummy!

My next shampoo is one I’ve been loving for a while now, which is The Body Shop Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo. When I first started this blog, this was one of the first thing I reviewed. I have alot of trouble with dry skin on my scalp, and this seems to be the only thing that battles it, although it’s not the best for the colour in my hair so I try not to use it all the time, just when I start to get an itchy scalp. I’ll definetly be purchasing another one. I’m on the prowl for a shampoo that battles dry skin and also is suitable for colour hair, so if you know of anything let me know!

And finally! Last, but certainly not least.. My old friend Avon Advanced Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil. I’ve done a full review of this that I’ve linked. Again, this is one of the first things that I actually reviewed on my blog. I use this after I’ve washed my hair, which makes it easier to brush and leaves it silky soft when I’ve dried my hair. I can’t count the amount of bottles I’ve had of this, but it’s alot! It’s around £4 for a 30ml bottle and it lasts be a couple of months, so for anyone with thin hair it’s gonna last you so much longer then that. This is definitely one of my staple haircare products and nothing has come close to this.

Phew! That was long! Maybe I shouldn’t do one of these every other month! If you’ve used anything I’ve used up please tell me what you thought of it too! Thanks for reading x

September Empties

I’ve been meaning to write this up for ages. Life has been hectic at the moment though. It’s my friends wedding on Saturday and I’m a bridesmaid. So much preparation! So please excuse my silence as of late.  I didn’t do a empties in October because I didn’t have much to actually do a post with.. But this month I’ve been trying to get through my shampoos that I haven’t finished, to make room for new ones.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion

I’ve really enjoyed using this. It’s a really good exfoliators. It’s lasted me quite a few months. I used it once a week and it really kept my dry skin on my face at bay. Not so much under my eyes though. That needed extreme moisturizing. Would I buy this again? Probably if I was near a body shop and I needed one. But I have another exfoliators to try out.. I did a full review of this here.

Avon Planet Spa Blissfully Nourishing Hair Mask

This has featured in quite a few of my empties and I’m sure it won’t be the last time! I get about 3 uses out of this 200ml tub. It smells amazing. I’ll definitely be buying this again and again! I did a full review of this item here.

TRESemme Luxurious Moisture Conditioner

I don’t buy this Conditioner often. The only time I buy it is when I’ve ran out and I’m in a rush and I only have time to go to the tesco express up the road from me. It’s basically my ‘I’ve ran out of the Conditioner that goes with my shampoo’ Conditioner. I’m not much of a fan of the Shampoo but i love the Conditioner. Always makes my hair super soft.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Correcting Shampoo

I’m not sure how I feel about this Shampoo. Everytime I used it, I felt like my hair was getting greaser faster. The Conditioner is lovely, but I don’t think I’ll be buying this again. It did how ever keep my brassy tones at bay.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer

I’m really getting into my Elasticizer type products at the moment. I’ve really noticed a difference with the amount of hair that’s snapping off or falling out reduce. I’m looking to buy a full size of this. I did a full review here.

Louis Galvin Sacred Locks Masque

I really liked this mask. It’s light, didn’t weigh my hair down and showed good results. I did a full review here. Would I buy this full size? Probably not. As my Avon Planet Spa Blissfully Nourishing Hair Mask does just as good a job at a fraction of the price.

So that’s my empties this month! Mostly hair products with isn’t a surprise with me because it takes me so long to get through make up because I always change products. I’m trying to get better at using products up, working progress!

Have you used any of these? What did you think? Let me know!

July Empties

Good afternoon beauties! I haven’t had a very good weekend unfortunately! I’ve had a horrible tooth ache since Thursday which isn’t going away, pain killers aren’t touching it anymore, so I’m going to the out of hours dentists today! I hope it’s nothing bad, wish me luck!

So another month another batch of empties! These months seem to be getting shorter and shorter! So I think I’ve done pretty well again! It’s always hair products I always use up the fastest I find! Takes me forever to use up make up! But I’m just glad I remembered to keep them instead of them going in the bin!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Cool &  Creamy Wash

I did a full review of this product here. I’ve really loved using this little gem up. It woke me up every morning, and if your not a morning person like me, you need a pick me up! The tea tree tingles my skin awake. I’d definitely buy this again.

The Body Shop Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo

I did a full review on this here. This isn’t the bottle I brought in my last body shop haul, I brought this ages ago and it’s lasted so long. I have a problem with  dry scalp and this really keeps it at bay. I recently started using another Shampoo to test out and my dry scalp came back, but after a few washes with this it was completely gone. That will teach me to stray… I have another bottle of this already and I’ll continue to use it!

Benefits POREfessional Primer

I did a full review on this here. I’ve loved using this primer, and I’m really debating on buying the full size. Yeah it’s alot of money and that’s the one thing that’s holding  me back (and the fact I’m currently trying out Maybelline baby skin primer) but it really does work with the pores on my nose! I think it’s worth the money personally.

Avon Naturals Complete Recovery Treatment Mask

I did a full review of this here. I got a few uses out of this and for the money i paid it’s a pretty decent product. I still prefer my Blissfully Nourishing Hair Mask by Avon (which is what I originally ordered but because they were out of stock I was sent this instead) but it was nice to try out!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream

I used this cream in the morning before putting my make up on. I’ve had this for quite a while and never got around to using it, but when I ran out of my usual day cream I found this in a draw of things I got from beauty subscriptions and never used, it was a wonderful surprise. I have so many creams to use at the moment so I’m not sure if I’ll be buying it any time soon but potebtiobally in the future!

That’s my empties for July! See you next month for August’s empties!

Have you used any if these products? What did you think? Would you repurchase them? Let me know!

June Empties

Hello beauties! Well.. I’ve tried even harder for you all to keep my empties this month. I think I did pretty good!  Let’s get cracking shall we?

Avon Planet Spa Sleep Serenity Bath Salts

Helps soften, refresh and soothe with camomile and lavender

These bath salts have been okay. Not the best I’ve used by all means. I brought this cheap in an offer Avon was having at the time. Can’t remember how much exactly but was a couple of pounds. Avon never really explain much about some of there products which kind of annoys me and I thought this would help you sleep maybe? Well, it didn’t for me. Left my skin feeling okay. Would I buy this again? Probably not.

Avon Planet Spa Blissfully Nourishing Hair Mask

Nourishing shea butter and brown sugar.

I’ve brought this a few times now and it does wonders for my hair. Full price this is £5.50 but Avon usually have an offer on it for around £3 which is a bargain. I usually get around 4 or 5 uses out of the 200ml tub. Will I be buying this again? Most definitely. Good to have around when just conditioning isn’t gonna cut it.

TRESemme Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo

TRESemme Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo is the perfect solution to instantly cleanse & revitalise hair without water. The unique formula refreshes your hair by removing oil and odour while creating volume. Just a quick spray transforms lifeless, limp hair into clean, fresh hair full of bounce & body. It also helps to maintain hair colour due to less washing.

Just any other dry shampoo if I’m honest. 200ml bottle will set you back £5.25 which isn’t too bad, but you can get Batiste cheaper. I like to try new dry shampoos every now and again to see what’s out there but I always come back to Batiste. The hunt is still on..

Paco Rabanne Lady Million

A fresh woody floral, Lady Million is a multifaceted, luminous, fresh and transparent interpretation of the original fragrance.

I brought this a year ago on my way home from New York. I thought I would take advantage of the cheap perfumes in the airport and I was depressed I was coming home.. I’ve loved this. It’s such a wearable fragrance. People instantly smell it on me when I walk into a room. Lasts a while too which alot of perfumes don’t. This will set you back around £40 these days. Will I be buying again? I would love to.. But I want to try there new fragrance Lady Million Eau My Gold!

Diesel Loverdose

Loverdose is the sexy & addictive fragrance from DIESEL. It represents a woman who is sexy, playful and irresistible. She desires pleasure, adrenaline & passion.

I must admit this is rather addictive. This is my second bottle and it’s currently on offer in boots at the moment for £30 for a 50ml bottle! This lasts quite a bit too. One of the girls at work knows when I walk in to the room and I have this on. Only because she’s obsessed with it as well! Will I be buying this again? At that price I don’t know if I could refuse?

Emporio Armani Diamonds

The sensory blend is a surprising gourmand fragrance to give a stone a flavour and to a woman a self confident and audacious feeling.

To be honest I was a little disappointed in this one. I didn’t pick this out myself. I went into a perfume shop and told the woman what I’ve got at the moment and what she could recommended. I picked this one out of the ones she pulled for me and it really doesn’t last long at all. I can hardly smell it anymore when I put it on. Will I be buying this again? No

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

Water-soluble Deep Cleansing Oil contains a rich blend of skin-loving vitamin E and hydrating olive oil. It helps unclog pores by clearing impurities and make-up, leaving your face a grime-free zone. Rinses away to help leave skin fresh and clean. Olive oil and vitamin E fight free radicals.

I’ve been in love with this for quite some time now. A 200ml bottle will set you back £21.50 on Amazon but I think it’s totally worth it. It lasts ages. It’s amazing even with the most stubborn make up. Even waterproof! My skin feels so amazing after using this. Such a treat to use. Will I be buying this again? Most likely.

Well that’s it for my June Empties! Quite a bit of perfume this month. I need to stock back up I think! There’s a lot I want to try so I doubt that will be too hard to do! See you guys next month for my July Empties!

Have you used any of these items? What did you think? Let me know!

My Empties!

Hello ladies! I’ve tried very hard to keep all my empties for you! I’m not the best at this so it was a challenge but I think I did well!

The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make Up Remover

This cleanser gently melts away eye make-up in seconds, while conditioning skin around the eye area

I liked this product. It’s good for sensitive skin and didn’t make my skin feel greasy but also didn’t dry it out. I’ve heard though that they have changed the formula and it’s not as effective as when I first purchased it, so I most likely won’t be buying it again.

Hollister Malibu Beach Body Mist

Almond and vanilla combine to create a warm, casual scent.

I received this for Christmas and I’ve loved it. It smells so fresh and it a lovely everyday body mist. I don’t think i could resist not buying this for myself..

Avon Clearskin Pore Penetrating Invigorating Scrub

This exfoliating face scrub contains scrubing grains to help lift away dirt and excess oil, leaving skin looking and feeling brighter

I’ve enjoyed this product. It gives a really clean and clear feeling without being abrasive. Will I be buying this again? I won’t, but only because I’ve recently brought The Body Shops Vitamin C Microdermabrasion.

Avon Advanced Techniques Daily Shine Dry End Serum

Immediately provies up to 100% shinier hair, leaves hair looking healthy and helps smooth dry damaged hair

As you ladies know I love this product and I’ve been buying it over and over again for ages. So yes, I will be buying this again! Makes my hair feel amazing when it’s feeling a bit dry! I did a review on this here

Avon Glimmer Stick Brow Definer

Easy to define and blend. Enriched with vitamins A and E

I’m not gonna lie, I hated this eyebrow definer. It was too creamy and it made my eyebrows stick together even when trying to brush them after. I won’t be buying this again. I’ll be going back to my Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think about them?
