I’ve always wanted an Urban Decay palette, so when I found out I had won it, i was over the moon. It’s always been the cost of these palettes that have put me off. It’s so beautiful, I don’t even want to use (I obviously will!) the packaging is so lovely and just feel expensive. I love nude palettes so this is the perfect fit for me. Can’t wait to try it out! I’ll do some Swatches soon and a review, although I’m sure most of you have seen many many before, but I wanna do my own cause I’m so excited!

W7 In The Buff Natural Nudes Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

image

Hello beauties! I hope you’re all well. I actually brought this palette a while ago, but because I have so many at the moment it kinda got forgotten. I brought this from Amazon for £3.99 as an add on. It was a impulse purchase because it was so cheap and I was curious about it. I’d never actually tried any W7 products before so I was going in blind.

I really like the case. The brush is good too because it has two different ends. All the shades are wearable too, which you would expect from a nude palette.

I’m really impressed with the pigmentation of this palette. However i would prefer more matte shades as I feel that they last longer then shimmer. I can’t wait to try these out properly.

Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 1 Review & Swatches

I Brough this in my Revolution Haul. I’ve come to be a big fan as of late of the cheaper drugstore brands. I’ve never been one for high end products because I can never justify spending that much on one product when I can do a haul with a brand like this and get a whole bunch of things. If you haven’t checked out Revolution yet I suggest you do.

This is a near exact dupe of the Urban Decay Naked 1 palette which I’ve always wanted to try. This palette has a perfect mix of pearl, shimmer and matte shades with great colour with alot of the shades. The packaging is quite plain, but what do you expect for £4. I’d rather them save in packaging and continue to deliver quality products.

image

The first couple of shades aren’t very pigmented but they are quite neutral tones which can be good for a base or highlighting. Whereas the last few are impressively pigmented. A nice mixture of shimmers and matte shades.

These swatches have excellent pigmentation and have a beautiful shimmer to them.

This photo was taken after a full day at work. It’s been in place for 12 hours and hasn’t changed much from when I first applied it. I did take a picture in the morning but because it was 6am the lighting was really bad which I’m disappointed with because I’d like to post a just applied photo to compare.

Conclusion
I’m so happy with this palette. It’s such a bargain at £4. If you don’t want to pay full price for the Urban Decay palettes I would highly recommend the Revolution dupes. I’ve had no fall out from the eyeshadow and it’s stayed in place all day. I’m so looking forward to trying out other looks with this palette.

This palette is available at Superdrug here.

Review: Sleek Make Up i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette

image

This was my first ever sleek Eyeshadow palette. I had heard alot of good things about there Eyeshadows so I thought I would give it a go. I brought this in my Amazon Mini Haul

Review
The palette comes in 12 shades of super-pigmented, long lasting, mineral based eye shadows, and the Au Naturel is a mixed palette full of matte and shimmery eye shadows. I love how pigmented the bottom row is, and the shades with shimmer in them are gorgeous. I also love how light the top row is. Great mix of colours. It is everything i wanted and needed, i can create day look/evening look, smoky eye/nude eye and don’t need to buy lots of different eyeshadows. It stays all day and the texture of the shadow is so soft. It has mirror which is so useful too so you can take it on the go. So let’s do some swatches! First row is in order from left to right, bottom row the Noir is first cause I ran out of room!

Top row:

image

Nougat: this is a matte creamy shade. Although not very pigmented, it’s a great highlight or base colour.
Nubuck: this is a matte shade. It has mixtures of lilac when on the skin with brown tones. Pigment is a little better in this shade.
Cappucino: this is a matte shade. It’s very natural. Pigment is okay.
Honeycomb: this is a matte shade. It is beige with yellow tones. Pigment is okay.
Toast: this is a matte shade. It has orange tones. Would look nice on someone with tanned skin but for my pale mug not so much. Pigment is good.
Taupe: this is a shimmery shade. It’s a champagne colour with hints of peach. Pigment is very good.

Bottom row

image

Noir: this is a matte shade. It is very black and is very pigmented.
Conker: this is a shimmer shade. It’s a dark purple and has very good pigmentation.
Moss: this is a mixture of shimmer and matte. It’s a nice medium brown shade. Pigment is very good.
Bark: this is a matte shade. This is a dark brown with grey tones. Pigment is very good.
Mineral Earth: this is a shimmer shade. I love the brown tones in this I think it’s my favourite and very pigmented.
Regal: this is a matte shade. It’s a lovely purple shade. Pigment is very good.

Shades Cappuccino or Honeycomb can be applied on the eye lid as a base for every look. Soft shimmery shade Taupe can be applied to the inner corners to brighten the face and widen eyes. Blend darker shades Bark or shimmery Mineral Earth along the eye socket to contour and add definition to your eyes.
A beautiful daytime eyes by applying Cappuccino or Honeycomb all over the eyelid and Taupe to the inner corners. Finish by blending Conker or Bark, depending on your skin tone, along the eye socket to define eyes.
For a smokey effect sweep Noir or Mineral Earth lightly along the top and bottom lash lines

Conclusion
I’m really impressed by this palette. Especially for the money. I wasn’t expecting this quality for under £6. I’d use all the colours in it which never really happens for me. Out of the 12 shades, 8 are matte and 4 are shimmer which I think is a good mix. The shimmer shades too aren’t too over the top like they can be which is nice. Would I buy In other shades? Definitely. And I will be!

Review: Revlon Photoready Eyeshadow

Easily create limitless looks with one palette. Each palette features a primer, 3 highly pigmented shadows, and a sparkle top coat. Use wet for more color intensity. Add sparkle top coat for a multi-dimensional, intensely shimmering effect.

I brought this product in my Superdrug Haul. I’ve been using the same palette for a while now so I thought it was time for a change. I looked around and this one caught my eye. I liked the primer aspect of this palette with it being included, but I was intrigued about it being a powder.. Let’s put it to the test! I’ve been using it for a couple of week now so I think I’m ready to out my opinion.

Review
My first impressions were that I liked the look of this palette. It’s self explanatory. First off, the primer is pretty pants. I wouldn’t consider it a primer at all. I’d consider it more of a base colour. I have no idea how they get away with calling it a primer. My Eyeshadow would hold in some places, but not in the creases of my eyelids. It would just gather up and rub off.. That never happened with my Avon Eyeshadow… Even without primer! I do enjoy the colours, but some are not very pigmented. The crease shade is probably the most pigmented where as the lid colour and the arch colour aren’t that great. Had to keep going over it to get any sort of defining colour on my eyes! Don’t get me started on the sparkle top coat. I put a tiny bit on just to try it out and it just crumbles. Glitter was all over my cheeks. It wasn’t a good look. If it was more solid I could see it adding some definition to your eye make up but it’s too fine and ruins the rest of your face!

Conclusion
Will I buy this product again? No. I’ve brought much cheaper Eyeshadow paletts that are more pigmented then this one. I was really disappointed because I’ve always enjoyed other product by Revlon like there lipsticks and foundations in the past. Such a shame that it just doesn’t deliver. One upside is that you can use this palette for a wet look, but that’s more of a night look in my opinion. For everyday use I would not recommend this.
