TRESemme Renewal Hair & Scalp Trio Review

Hello beauties! I hope you’re all well! So I first got exposed to this TRESemme product through my December Glossybox. I got the Nourish & Renew Tonic in my box, and I always had trouble with my dry scalp so I thought I would purchase the shampoo and conditioner to go with it.

image

Why Use The Renewal Hair & Scalp System? Helps nourish the scalp and renews your hair, leaving it beautiful from start to finish. With tea tree extract and sunflower seed oil, the salon quality formulas help by nourishing the scalp at the surface cellular level. The result is soft, manageable hair and a healthy feeling scalp.

Review
The thing I love about this shampoo is that it lathers up so well. Not too much that I find it hard to actually wash out, but enough that I feel it’s actually doing some good. I’ve been using this for a couple of months now, and I find I can go a few more days then usual between washes. The shampoo is just as creamy as the conditioner which I love. The conditioner is amazing too. I’ve found that I don’t need to use as much oils to keep my hair nourish since using these products. The tonic helps nourish your scalp and is applied to damp hair directly to your scalp. My scalp has never felt so clean and nourished. This shampoo doesn’t state that it’s designed for coloured hair, but my blonde locks don’t look brassy from using this at all, which is always a plus! I still keep up with a blue shampoo every now and again to keep on top of it, but I think I’ve found my perfect shampoo in TRESemme.

Conclusion
Will I be buying this trio again? Definetly! I feel like I use less conditioner then i usually would because the shampoo is just as creamy and leaves my hair quite soft. I hate when your using a shampoo and conditioner set and you run out of conditioner before shampoo. With this I feel like I’m getting my money worth because it stretches quite far, and TRESemme always come in very large bottles which I love because my hair is quite thick and I always run out quickly!

What shampoo are you using at the moment? Have you used this TRESemme shampoo yet? Let me know!

L’Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Review

Hello beauties! I received this hair oil on my September Glossybox. It’s taken me a while to actually to around to using it became I’m so devoted to my Avon Advanced Techniques Morrocan Argan Oil. Once I get into a routine of using a product it’s hard for me to stop!

image

Mythic Oil is a complete collection of customised oil blends & oil-enriched haircare, which leaves hair looking shiny, feeling supple and smelling divine. The Mythic Oil journey began in 2011 with the launch of our amazingly versatile Original Oil. Before long, the range expanded to include Mythic Oil Milk, Colour Glow Oil and Rich Oil – each of which is designed to target specific haircare needs.  The award-winning Mythic Oil haircare range launched last summer and comprises a luxurious shampoo, conditioner & hair masque.  And now, L’Oréal Professionnel are delighted to unveil the dazzling new Souffle d’Or shampoo and conditioner duo,  which are infused with Argan Oil & Safflower Oil, and golden shimmering sparkles to leave your hair looking incredibly shiny with an airy touch.

Review
There has been a lot of hype around this product. I remember reading some of the beauty blog community’s unboxing on September Glossybox and people were so excited to try it out. I already had a staple oil in my collection so I wasn’t so hyped about it to be honest. In case some of you don’t know, I have thick bleached blonde hair that passes my shoulders by a couple of inches, I tend to use straighteners only when I really need to which is mostly for the hair around my face and my fridge, so product like this are key to keeping my hair soft.
As you can see from the picture it’s your standard hair oil packaging with the pump action which is very popular. The consistency of the product is alot thinner then I’m used to. My Avon hair oil is much thicker which I’ve grown used to. The one upside to this is that i used less product in one application. I use around two pumps for my hair. I tend to split my hair in half and use one pump for each side. Although if you have thinner/shorter hair then me you will only need one.
Oils like this are only meant for the ends of your hair. This is because your ends suffer the most abuse, but also it’s because your hair gets it’s nutriment and all the good stuff from the blood. When you have longer hair, all those oils and nutriment don’t get to the end of your hair. That is the ends are usually less healthy than the top.
I use this sort of oil on towel dried hair. I’m not totally sure if that’s how this product is supposed to be used, but it’s how I’ve used all my hair oils, and it works for me. It makes my hair easier to brush too which is always great, no one likes pulling their hair out when brushing their hair! Having such thick hair, if a product makes my hair feel heavier I instantly hate it. This thankfully felt weightless in my hair. Once dried my hair feels smooth and manageable. I wash my hair twice a week because it doesn’t really go greasy with the bleach, and I don’t like to wash it too often because it makes my hair even drier, so I still need to use dry end serum between washing.

Conclusion
I’ve enjoyed using this hair oil. I am pretty loyal to my Avon argan oil, so I can’t say I’ll be swapping it for this any time soon. I think it’s because I prefer the thicker consistency of the Avon one. I know I use more of the Avon one because of this, but I think it leaves my hair in better condition then the L’Oréal one. But if Avon ever stop doing theirs, I’ll know where to look!

Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Review

I brought this set in a Boots Haul I did a while ago and only recently got around to using it. I’ve been trying to actually finish shampoos before starting on a new one. My bathroom was starting to get rather cluttered!

Dry hair requires deep nourishment to maintain its fine balance of key oils and proteins. Restore your hair’s healthy levels of moisturisation with the Charles Worthington Moisture Seal range for an amazingly soft and silky red-carpet appearance.

Review
I have a problem with dry hair from bleaching it. As soon as I saw this shampoo on offer i needed to try it. I’ve tried over Charles Worthington products and really liked them. One thing I look for in a shampoo is how much it lathers up. I have really think hair, and a lot of it! I don’t want to have to use half the bottle to wash my hair properly because it won’t lather up enough, but I haven’t had any problems with this and it rinses out easily which is again great when you have thick hair. I’ve read a few reviews that say the opposite to me which i find strange.. Maybe I’m used to shampoos that don’t lather up at all! Or they have changed the formula.. It’s also great for coloured hair which is always good. Ive noticed my hair looks so shiny and vibrant since using this. It tended to get quite dull with my other shampoos that claimed to be for coloured hair, but with this it feels like I went to the salon yesterday. It’s infused with Argan oil which helps moisturise and healing your hair. The masque is a real treat for your hair, and a really good size at 160ml! I’m used to using these up in about 4 uses but I think so far I’ve used it about 6 times with another use still left. This stuff really stretches. My hair is so easy to brush after, it falls through my hair brush instead of me having to pull it through.

Conclusion
Would I buy this again? If I was in a hurry and it was on offer at the time. I got this in a 3 for 2 offer which is a really good deal, otherwise they are £5.99 each. When I buy shampoos I tend to just buy the ones in the offers, and I’ve actually brought a new TRESemme set which I’m looking forward to trying out.

Toni & Guy Shine Gloss Serum Review

I can’t remember when i got this but I’m pretty sure it’s from one of my Glossybox’s. It must of been before I even started blogging back in may because I can’t see it in any posts I’ve done, but I’ve only got round to using it recently. I’m trying to find a serum that’s even better then my staple hair serum Avon Advanced Techniques Daily Shine Dry End Serum.

Review
My first gripe with this product is the packaging. I like to see how much I have left of a product so I’m not caught out if I pump and nothing comes out. It’s also been leaking which leaves the bottle quite sticky. It doesn’t make a very good first impression. But let’s get onto the actual product. It’s quite a thin consistency which I’m not used to having used my Avon serum for so long. It’s great for when you have blowdried your hair and you have those strands of hair that and flying away. I also love using it after straightening to make my hair look sleek. I use two pumps of this since I hair is so thick, but if you have short this hair you would only need one. I’d love to comment on how long this has lasted me, but I can’t see how much product is left. Although it’s a great serum for those pesky flyaways, it doesn’t give that Hydration to my ends. This is why I prefer Avons serum. It tackles those flyaways and leaves my hair hydrated in between washes.

Conclusion
If your hair is in good condition and you don’t need a serum that hydrates your hair, and only need it for flyaways then i would recommend this. If your hair is damaged and needs a boost every now and again then I’d look somewhere else. I’m not saying it’s a bad products, except for the packaging, it just doesn’t meet all of my personal needs.

Syoss Oil-In-Cream Repair Mask Review

I got this in my beauty swap with Reify. I’ve never used any sort of Keratin product in my hair, so this was a new experience for me.

image

Instant Keratin Boost for 100% strength & Repair hair structure deep inside the hair cell
Smoothes the hair fiber for 100% suppleness
Nourishes the hair intensively for 100% gloss without weighing

Application
As I don’t speak German, and the bottle was all in German, I kinda winged it! Reify left me a note on the bottle saying it needs to be taken off straight away. So I just soaked my hair and applied it to the ends. I worked it in and washed it off, and then carried on with my shampoo and conditioner.

Review
I’ve been using this for a while now, and even my hair dresser noticed how long my hair had gotten since she had seen me last. I find that my hair never really grows, because it always snaps off. You never notice when your hair grown yourself, but my hair dresser did. My hair does seem more elasticated, when brushing my hair and i get a small knot, it bounces back instead of breaking off. All the claims this product deliver, except I didn’t really see any difference in the glossyness of my hair.

Conclusion
Will I buy this again? I certainly will if I can find it anywhere! I’m really impressed with this. When i saw my hair dresser, the first thing she said to me how my hair has grown more then usual, so that’s enough reason for me to want more!

Avon Planet Spa Heavenly Hydration Hair Mask Review

Hello beauties! I hope you’re all well. So I got this in one of my many Avon Hauls. I usually get the Blissfully Nourishing hair mask, but unfortunately they were out of stock. I can understand why, it’s amazing. I did a review on it here if you want to check it out. So lets get into the product!

image

Leaves dry, damaged hair feeling soft, silky and smooth

Review
This is a 200ml tub which lasts me around 3-4 washes. My hair is just past my shoulders, so if you have short hair, obviously it will last longer. Sometimes I have problems with hair mask. Having such thick hair, the one thing I look for in any hair products is lightweight. This certainly is. It’s alot like the Blissfully Nourishing mask, except this one doesn’t smell as amazing. It had a Olive oil scent to it. It smells nice, but I’m a big fan of the other one. Bleaching my hair leaves it damaged and dry. But this hair mask makes my hair just as soft. It makes my hair so shiny and alot less frizzy.

Conclusion
Would I buy this again? I wouldn’t be upset if they ran out of the Blissfully Nourishing hair mask and they sent me this one instead, but that one just smells so much nicer! I think if the Heavenly Hydration one smelt better, I’d probably change sides. I love my hair to smell nice, who doesn’t? and people always notice when I’ve used it. The prices of Avons hair masks are amazing and I’ve never been dissaponted with one. This one retails at £5.50 but it’s usually on offer at around £4. Can’t argue with that!

Have you tried any Avon hair masks? What did you think? Any hair masks you recommend? Let me know!

Philip Kingsley Elasticized Review

I received this in my August Glossybox. I recently did a posted about Elasticizer because I was curious on how it actually works.

image

The world’s first pre-shampoo conditioning treatment and our hero product. Healthy hair stretches when wet before returning to its original length when dry. However, hair in poor condition snaps and breaks when stretched. Intensely moisturising Elasticizer delivers a rush of moisture to the hair’s cuticle; suppleness, elasticity and bounce appear instantly without weighing down or coating the hair. Visible results from one application that improve with continued use. Fragrance free. Use once a week as a minimum for best results.

Application
Before shampooing, dampen your hair with warm water and apply Elasticizer to mid lengths and ends, paying particular attention to dry broken areas.
Work into your hair with fingertips, cover with plastic cap and leave for approx 20 minutes
Rinse with water
Follow with appropriate Shampoo, Conditioner and Scalp Toner

PK Tip – For improved results on very dry or damaged hair, dampen hair slightly and leave on overnight
Elasticizer can also be left on for a couple of minutes when in the shower before washing and best results are obtained from using it 1-2 times a week
Please Note – Do NOT use Elasticizer for 2 days before and 2 days after chemical processing

Review
My hair is quite thick, so I only got one use out of this sample. So it’s not like I can do much of a review on it, but to be honest, from the one use I got out of this sample, I have noticed that my hair didn’t fall as much as it usually would after using it. I applied this to my hair while my bath was running so the pores in my hair would open from the steam. I soaked my hair and applied the product. I then put a cap over my head and left it for approximately half an hour. I’m usually left with a mountain of hair behind me after brushing when I’ve washed my hair, but this time I was left with much less. Days after washing, I still noticed less hair falling out. Running my fingers through my hair, I would usually pull out quite a few strands, but it was only the odd strand now.

Conclusion
Would I buy this again? I’ll defiantly consider it. I’d recommend it to anyone that bleaches their hair. I’m definitely considering introducing it into my routine.
