Superdrug Haul

Hello beauties! I hope you’re all well. So I took a trip to the shopping centre and I couldn’t help but pass Superdrug and take a look at some stuff! It seems I can’t pass a superdrug without buying something…

I’ve been hearing alot of good things about superdrugs own brand skincare product so I thought I would take a look. Good thing is, if you don’t like the product or you have a reaction, you can just take it back for a refund! And while passing I chucked a few (alot) of nail polishes in my basket to try!

MUA Nail Polish

The same great product in a brand new bottle! Maximum impact nails with an intense colour, use 2 coats. Make Up Academy provides trend shades on a budget, allowing you to achieve the latest looks without breaking the bank!

So these caught my eye because… Well they were £1 to start off with! But i love the vibrant colours that are available too. I’m never gona expect alot from a nail varnish that’d £1 but MUA might surprise me here! From left to right we have Truffle Cream, Sweet Peach, Orchid, Ultramarine and Pitch Black. They are pretty small bottles, it doesn’t say the volume of the nail polish, but i would guess about 7ml. I’ll get around to using these soon as let you know how they are!

Revolution Nail Polish

I’d love to be able to tell you more about what Revolution say about this nail varnish.. Unless they have changed the packaging of them.. I can’t find then anywhere!…. Or they are so new they aren’t on the Internet… Anyway.. I only got two because I had so many of the MUA polishes. These again were £1 which again, is what drew me to them! From left to right they are Luxury Cream and Adore. I’m excited to try the white out because it’s hard to find a good flat white.

I’ve run out of eye cream (I know.. It’s not like me to run out of anything!) so I decided to pick this up too while I was browsing superdrug skincare range. I’ve read nothing about this but all I can do is try it out for a couple of months and review the benefits. My eye area needs Brightening and smoothing out so I’m hoping this is the product to do it!

Reviews will be up for the products I have featured when I have had a chance to try them out!

Superdrug Haul

I caved in and went sale shopping in December.. I’ve had so many posts lined up that I totally forgot about this haul! I’m never usually one to sale shop, I’m much rather do it from my phone having a coffee with the TV in the background. However, I had loads of time off work over Christmas and I was getting bored not working! So here’s what I got..

TRESemme Renewal Hair & Scalp Shampoo & Conditioner

Why Use The Renewal Hair & Scalp System? Helps nourish the scalp and renews your hair, leaving it beautiful from start to finish. With tea tree extract and sunflower seed oil, the salon quality formulas help by nourishing the scalp at the surface cellular level. The result is soft, manageable hair and a healthy feeling scalp.

I’m always looking for a shampoo and conditioner set that’s good for my scalp. I suffer with a dry scalp, and I actually got the TreSemme Nourish & Renew Tonic in my December Glossybox so I though this was the perfect shampoo to get since i had this tonic.

B Pure Micellar Water

This quick and easy 3-in-1 cleanser that dissolves impurities I’m a single sweep, no water required.

I’m really into my Micellar water at the moment. I’ve nearly ran out of my Boots Botanics Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution so I thought it was a perfect opportunity to try a new one out. This was on offer for just under £3 and I do love the make up range from B.

Nip+Fab Detox Blend Body Wash

Gently cleanse & purify skin with this detoxifying body wash. Naturally derived cleansers blend with frankincense oil & delicate fragrances to wash away impurities and freshen skin.

This was another item on offer. It was under £4 for a 500ml bottle. I thought it was a mistake since a 200ml bottle was the same price, but it was right! I haven’t tried many Nip+Fab products so again, perfect opportunity while on offer, and such a steal since its usually £15 (aparently) but I’ve seen it online for about £9 on other sites.

So that’s everything! How you tried any of these out? Let me know what you think of them! Thanks for reading x

Boots & Superdrug Haul

I thought to myself the other day an hour before finishing work that I haven’t brought myself any make up this pay month. (not that I need any!) Where I work there is a massive shopping centre literally over the road and it’s torture on my bank card! But I thought i needed to treat myself.

Boots Purchases

Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Set

Dry hair requires deep nourishment to maintain its fine balance of key oils and proteins. Restore your hair’s healthy levels of moisturisation for an amazing soft and silky red carpet appearance.

I love Charles Worthington. I saw that they had a 3 for 2 offer on this range and I couldn’t help myself. This range contains argan oil, heat protection and it’s suitable for colour treated hair. It’s also paraben free which I’m so happy about. If you’re unsure what paraben is, I did a post about it which you can find here.

Soap & Glory The Fab Pore 2 in 1 Pore Purifying Mask & Peal

Infused with SUPERFRUIT™ YUZU and Soap & Glory’s super-active secret weapon, PORESHRINK-R™, this deep cleansing facial treatment is a must-have for any girl who wants to see less of her large pores. Use once-a-week for maintenance (unclogging pores, spot prevention, and face detoxing), or twice weekly if you’re battling breakouts. Guaranteed to give exhausted skin its fresh back. Genius in a jar!

Everyone loves Soap & Glory. I certainly love any product that promised to reduce my pores because I have really bad problems with the pores on my nose. Full review is available here.

No Clogs Allowed Super Self Heating Deep Pore Detox Mask

It deep cleans, melts away pore-plugging sebum and softens keratinised skin cells to prevent breakouts and blemishes. Just massage on, and stop when the paste changes from yellow to blue. No Clogs Allowed™ is perfect for weekly use on areas prone to blackhead build-up, or more often as a deep-oil-emulsifying, detoxifying face mask and all-round scrubby WONDER!

I don’t know why I brought two pore products to be honest. I felt like I was being rushed because the staff in boots seemed to be filling the shelves while I was looking and I couldn’t look properly, they kept standing inform of me while I was looking, it was so rude and annoying! But anyway… This interested me because it changes colour while on your face! Full review is available here.

Botanics Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution

This cleansing solution feels as gentle as water on the skin to dissolve make up, unclog pores and remove impurities. Skin feels soft, smooth and comforted in one easy step. A calming cleanser with no rinsing required for use on the face, eyes and lips. Suitable for all skin types even those with very sensitive or dry skin.
This cleanser has marshmallow, which is nature’s soothing star. The roots are packed with natural sugars that work together to help leave skin less reactive and altogether calmer

I love this range by boots. I love how it’s plant powered and doesn’t contain too many chemicals. Full review is available here.

Revolution Lipsticks

You will be amazed at the quality of the lipstick. This is your MUST HAVE lipstick, and better still, amazing value at £1 each so you can collect them all! Over 20 shades of this creamy, long lasting lipstick with high colour payoff. From nudes to brights, and mattes to creamy there is something to suit everyone.

It does seem like I’m trying to collect them all! I’d of brought more but alot of them weren’t on display, when ever I go to superdrug this stand always seems to be empty because it’s so popular, and I’m not surprised.

The colours going left to right from the first picture are Reckless, Matte Dare and Lady. The second picture left to right is The One, Bliss and Dazzle.

MUA Power Pout Colour Intense Tint & Balm

MUA Power Pout is a lip treatment with colour intensity that relieves dry, cracked lips providing immediate moisturisation. The handy pencil-style applicator provides easy to apply sheer soft lip colour and rolls up for easy use.

I have enough Lipsticks (as you can probably tell) so I wanted to get something that still makes my lips pop but also treats them too, because it’s going to be getting colder soon and cracked lips aren’t a good look!

Revolution Matte Effect Cover & Concealer

Matte and very creamy, packing all the coverage you need to depend on
An all round concealer providing a matte finish covering all imperfections. For just £1, a product which should be part of your daily makeup routine for quick and easy coverups.
Available in 8 shades.

I’ve read some good things about this Concealer so thought I would give it a try. I picked the stade Fair

Revolution Ultra Face Base Primer

Our ULTRA Face Base primer is the perfect primer to provide the perfect base under your foundation. It smoothes out the skin to create an even canvas so your foundation is flawless and lasts all day!

This was just a random purchase. I feel like I have too many primers at the moment to get through so I have to learn to stop buying them! It’s a clear primer which leaves your skin feeling soft and even.

MUA Undressed Me Too Eyeshadow Palette

The Undress Me Too Palette embraces this season’s fresh-faced look and urges you to strip back and go nude! Made up of 12 warm and timeless shades, this palette will suit all skin tones. Featuring a shade range that runs from the palest champagne to the grittiest gunmetal grey, this isn’t just shades of beige. Each shadow has a distinct look that works for everyone.

I’ve been wanting to get this for a while now, but I have a tendency to get obsessed with one Eyeshadow palette at a time. Will do some swatches of this soon.

Reviews of each item will be available when I’ve has long enough to try them out and I’ll link them into this haul when I have!

Have you hauled from superdrug or boots lately? What did you get? Have you tried anything I brought? What did you think? Let me know!

Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 1 Review & Swatches

I Brough this in my Revolution Haul. I’ve come to be a big fan as of late of the cheaper drugstore brands. I’ve never been one for high end products because I can never justify spending that much on one product when I can do a haul with a brand like this and get a whole bunch of things. If you haven’t checked out Revolution yet I suggest you do.

This is a near exact dupe of the Urban Decay Naked 1 palette which I’ve always wanted to try. This palette has a perfect mix of pearl, shimmer and matte shades with great colour with alot of the shades. The packaging is quite plain, but what do you expect for £4. I’d rather them save in packaging and continue to deliver quality products.

The first couple of shades aren’t very pigmented but they are quite neutral tones which can be good for a base or highlighting. Whereas the last few are impressively pigmented. A nice mixture of shimmers and matte shades.

These swatches have excellent pigmentation and have a beautiful shimmer to them.

This photo was taken after a full day at work. It’s been in place for 12 hours and hasn’t changed much from when I first applied it. I did take a picture in the morning but because it was 6am the lighting was really bad which I’m disappointed with because I’d like to post a just applied photo to compare.

I’m so happy with this palette. It’s such a bargain at £4. If you don’t want to pay full price for the Urban Decay palettes I would highly recommend the Revolution dupes. I’ve had no fall out from the eyeshadow and it’s stayed in place all day. I’m so looking forward to trying out other looks with this palette.

This palette is available at Superdrug here.

Have you tried any of the Revolution Eyeshadow palettes? What did you think? Let me know!

Revolution Haul

Following my beauty swap with Reify, i found out how awesome some of the cheaper make up brands that are only available in the UK really are! I guess I was a bit of an upper scale drugstore product junkie… Always buying Max Factor, Rimmel, Maybelline etc.. But I’m so glad I’ve discovered Revolution!

Redemption Palette Iconic

I’m so amazed that this palette is £4. Such a bargain! I’ve seen bloggers post about this palette and I’ve been meaning to get it but I always seem to just walk past these make up stands, not anymore though! This is a nude palette with matte and the rest made up of shimmers. It has 12 shades that are totally wearable.

The colour pay off, especially the last lot, is pretty awesome. The first picture isn’t too impressive, but you always get those sort of shades being quite limited. And for £4 a palette, I’m not really going to complain! Full review is available here.

Matte Lipsticks Nude

This lipstick was just £1 which I was amazed at… I’m a bit obsessed with matte Lipsticks at the moment. I was a bit annoyed at my local superdrug because there weren’t any samples to try, so I had to just try and guess if it was going to be a good colour. Although at the bottom it shows what shade it is, I’d of like to have tried it out first.

Powder Blush

This is such a lovely shade if pink. Such a suttle colour which is totally me. I couldn’t find this shade on the superdrug website, but it’s called treat if you want to pick it up in store. This blush was an amazing £1

Amazing Curve Mascara

I don’t think I’ve ever had a mascara with a curve like this wand has. I’m really excited to see how it turns out. At just £2 it seems like a steal, just depends how it turns out!

I got all this for just £8! I can understand now why this stand is always mostly empty! Just got to test them out now! Reviews will be available shortly.

Review: Revlon Photoready Eyeshadow

Easily create limitless looks with one palette. Each palette features a primer, 3 highly pigmented shadows, and a sparkle top coat. Use wet for more color intensity. Add sparkle top coat for a multi-dimensional, intensely shimmering effect.

I brought this product in my Superdrug Haul. I’ve been using the same palette for a while now so I thought it was time for a change. I looked around and this one caught my eye. I liked the primer aspect of this palette with it being included, but I was intrigued about it being a powder.. Let’s put it to the test! I’ve been using it for a couple of week now so I think I’m ready to out my opinion.

My first impressions were that I liked the look of this palette. It’s self explanatory. First off, the primer is pretty pants. I wouldn’t consider it a primer at all. I’d consider it more of a base colour. I have no idea how they get away with calling it a primer. My Eyeshadow would hold in some places, but not in the creases of my eyelids. It would just gather up and rub off.. That never happened with my Avon Eyeshadow… Even without primer! I do enjoy the colours, but some are not very pigmented. The crease shade is probably the most pigmented where as the lid colour and the arch colour aren’t that great. Had to keep going over it to get any sort of defining colour on my eyes! Don’t get me started on the sparkle top coat. I put a tiny bit on just to try it out and it just crumbles. Glitter was all over my cheeks. It wasn’t a good look. If it was more solid I could see it adding some definition to your eye make up but it’s too fine and ruins the rest of your face!

Will I buy this product again? No. I’ve brought much cheaper Eyeshadow paletts that are more pigmented then this one. I was really disappointed because I’ve always enjoyed other product by Revlon like there lipsticks and foundations in the past. Such a shame that it just doesn’t deliver. One upside is that you can use this palette for a wet look, but that’s more of a night look in my opinion. For everyday use I would not recommend this.

Have you tried this product? What were your thought?

Superdrug Haul
